MORE THAN CONQUEROR - Part 3

The conqueror’s prayer

Life itself minus Satan is war. Plus Satan is trouble. John 16: 22, 33 ‘in this life, you will have troubles. As long as you are alive, there will battles to fight. A victory in one is a preparation for the next. These troubles are hardship, famine, nakedness, sickness and death. If you are going through any of these right now, you are not alone. 1 Peter 5: 9 say your brethren all over the world are confronting these issues. 1 Peter 4: 12 says it is not a strange thing happening to you. What matters is winning. Life is about winning, you must win. Don’t be a loser.

But God is faithful, who will make a way out that we may be able to bear it. There is a way out of any challenge. There is a strategy out of any tragedy. That’s what makes us a conqueror. Your job is to confront your challenges and face your fears. If you run from issues, you will live to face it another day. Don’t run, don’t stop, and don’t fear. Face it. What you don’t confront you cannot conquer.

A conqueror is one who conquers and keeps conquering.  To be more than a conqueror means to conquer on all side. It means not to be defeated. It means not to lose a battle. We serve a God who has never lost a battle before. Our connection to him qualifies us to win the battle of life and any satanic assault against us. We are members of God’s family and are overcomers. If you are born again, you qualify to win.

Please remember that;

·        God is good and evil does not proceed from him.

·        From time to time, Satan request and seek permission to sift us e.g. Job, Peter.

·        There is a limit to what Satan cannot go beyond permission he received from God

·        That Satan cannot affliction us without permission

·        Satan can only have access to us when the hedge of God around our life and ours is broken by sin, fear, doubt or disobedience.

·        That as long as we are in the will of God, whatever we confront will eventually work for our glory

·        That for every trouble permitted by God has an expiry date for weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning

·        Finally that God will never permit us to be tested beyond what the ability he has given us to bear. That every test is permitted because God trust us that we can bear it

Please remember also that Satan uses your challenges…because he is after your love for God, faith in God, confidence, knowledge of God and understanding of purpose.

But God is using it to preserve you from danger, prepare you for the next assignment, bring fulfillment of his promise or promote you to the new level. Whatever Satan is doing to you God is going to use it for your good, for all things…works together for the good of them that loves God and who called according to his purpose. Your first way out of trouble is to be a lover of God. Number 2, is to discover and pursue his purpose for your life. To seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and things will start turning in your favor. The enemies will submit to you; they will make peace with you. They will fall for your sake. But you must be a genuine and committed lover of God. Then;

o   Hardship: your hardship is over. Every covenant with hard life is broken. Forces make life hard for you are destroyed

o   Famine: your famine is over. Powers breaking your economic strength are destroyed. The anointing to prosper is coming upon you now in Jesus name

o   Nakedness: god will clothe you with glory. He will remove the garment of shame from your back. The beauty of the lord will be seen over you and your family. Your covenant with rag is destroyed

o   Sickness: every sickness and disease in your body and family is destroyed. By his stripes you were healed and so, sickness has no place in your body from on in Jesus name.

o   Death: your covenant with death is broken. You will live. Your agreement with grave is annulled. God will break the coffin the enemy planned to bury you in. the curse of untimely death is broken over your family in Jesus name

There is a way out of every challenge or test but my focus today is on prayer. ‘The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much’ James 5: 16- 17. There is something we call the prayer of a conqueror. There is a way the heroes of faith who had conquered before we were born prayed and got answers.  Who through their prayers subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Their women through prayers of faith received their dead back to life. Hebrews 11: 33- 34, 35a. Prayer changes things and nothing changes on earth unless men pray.

Why are prayers not answered?

The story recorded in John 9 shows how through prayers an impossible and hopeless situation is turned around. It also tells the reasons why God will or will not answer prayers. It tells the story of a man who was born blind, with no eye ball at all and Jesus performed a creative miracle on him. If there is anyone here who needs a creative miracle or a supernatural surgery, the great physician, Jesus, will do it now!

God is ready and willing to answer all prayers.

1.      Sin in the life. John 9: 31, Ps. 66:18;

2.      Failure to spend time in the Word of God. Prov. 28:9; John 15:7; Isaiah 41: 21

3.      Failure to pray in faith Matt. 21:22; 1 John 5:14-15; James 1:5-7; Heb. 11:6

4.      Failure to ask because of a spirit of self-dependence James 4:2

5.      Failure to ask from the right motives, without concern for God’s will. James 4:3, 15; 1 Cor. 4:19; Matt. 6:10; 26:42

6.      Failure to endure in prayer, fainting under pressure (Luke 18:1; cf. 1 Sam. 27:1-3 with Isa. 40:31)

7.      Wrong relations with people, an unforgiving spirit (Mark 11:25-26)

8.      Pretentious praying, praying to impress people (Matt. 6:5-8)

9.      Religious zeal in the form of vain repetitions and cultic ritual (Matt. 6:7; 1 Kings 18:26-29; Rom. 10:2-3)

10. Domestic breakdown in the home (1 Pet. 5:7)

11. Inadequate praise and thanksgiving Philippians 4: 6

Prayer point: 2 Chronicles 7: 13- 15

MORE THAN CONQUEROR - Part 2

ROMANS 8: 18- 39

Let’s start today with Heather dorniden’s story: the runner who didn’t give up. She fell in a 600m race in 2008 and won the race eventually. What do you do if you fall in a race?

A conqueror is one who conquers. A conqueror is a champion. A champion is someone who competes in a challenge and emerge the winner. 1 John 5: 4 says that every children of God a conqueror. If you born again, you qualify to win in life; you qualify to reign in life. You qualify to conquer and you will win.

Jesus, our elder brother in the family, was also challenged. Hebrews 2: 18 and 4: 15, Jesus himself suffered…he was tested in all ways, yet he did not sin. Then he said, he can help those who are going through their own test. That was why he was able to say in John 16: 33 in this world you will have troubles, but be happy, I have overcome. What that means is, you will overcome too.

What are the troubles we go through in this world?

Jesus said you will have troubles. You can pray it away; you have to confront it to conquer it.

·        Hardship

·        Famine

·        Nakedness

·        Sickness

·        Death

Vs 36 say that every day we are confronted with these issues. The battle for survival and against our destiny is a daily battle and we must win daily. Jesus said in Matthew 6: 34 that each day has enough trouble. ‘Sooner or later, it will happen to you. The phone will ring, and your calm, tranquil and well ordered life will enter into a raging storm. Sooner or later you will face a crisis that you cannot manage with your resources alone and you will need a miracle from God to survive’- Pastor John Hagee.

Please remember the reasons why these troubles come…Satan is after your love for God, faith in God, confidence, knowledge of God and understanding of purpose while God is using it to preserve you from danger, prepare you for the next assignment, bring fulfillment of his promise or promote you to the new level.

So each day can be an opportunity or a fatality. An opportunity to win the battles that is daily prepared to confront you or a fatality if you fail. Vs 37 now say in all of these things…hardship, famine, sickness, death nakedness…we are more than a conqueror. We can win both the minor and the major battles of life. Quote from recommended book for the week…my vision (back cover)

How can I conquer and continue conquering? Being more than a conqueror simply means to conquer and continue conquering. It means that no matter how many times you hit the ground like a basket ball, you will keep bouncing.

1 Corinthians 10: 13 say that God is faithful… What is the faithfulness of God in this matter? Remember we have established that;

Therefore, because God is faithful, there is always a way out of every challenge. There is always a strategy out of every tragedy. No challenge is unique; it is common. What you are confronting today, someone has conquered before. Your test today is someone testimony. So, you are not the first and won’t be the last. This challenge is also not the first and it won’t be the last. 1 Peter 5: 9- 10 says…the same trouble is happening to your brothers in the world but the God of all grace, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

There is a way out. The way out…comes from God…when it is time for the trouble to expire…God will show you a way out. Ask God for the way out…if any lacks wisdom let him ask James 1: 5.

How to be a conqueror is to be empowered to win. Here is my belief based on scriptures…troubles should not last…weeping should not endure for a night…suffering should be for a while…affliction should be for a moment. If challenges are taking too long is either you darkness is trying to take advantage of your ignorance or your fear or powerlessness. It is time to challenge your challenger.

·        Join the winners family 1 John 4: 4; 5: 4

·        Violent faith

·        Warfare prayers

·        The blood of Jesus

·        Opening your mouth against harassment – i.e. your testimony

My focus today is on the power in your mouth. There is victory in your mouth Romans 10: 8; there is power of life and death in your tongue Proverbs 18: 21. You either empower or disable Satan over your condition depending on the use of your mouth.

How to use your mouth

·        Understand that challenges are the roaring of the enemy against.  1 Peter 5: 8-9. When the lion roars at you, you must roar back. You qualify to roar at the enemy because you belong to the tribe of Judah. Genesis 49 : 8- 12 describes the blessing on Judah, and Jesus was called the lion of Judah in Revelation 5: 5 who has prevailed. The bigger prevailing lion lives in you ‘for greater is he that is you…’ Roar back. It is time to roar.

·        What you don’t confront you cannot conquer. Goliath roared against Israel, the trained soldiers flee but David roared back at him and the giant was defeated.

·         As long as you keep quiet, the enemy will continue to prevail. Isaiah 53; 7 says if you don’t open your mouth, you will led to slaughter like a sheep. But Isaiah 42: 13-14 says, I have been quiet, yea, I have been silence but now I will cry, yea, I will roar and prevail against the enemy.

·        The very day you open your mouth against all satanic harassment, that same time, the enemy will turn back Psalm 56: 9

·        Psalm 18: 40- 45 as soon the enemy your voice, they will obey and flee from there hiding places.

·        In Psalm 81, one the instruction is to open wide your mouth vs. 10 and the victory will follow in vs. 14, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes’. The sooner you open your mouth against that condition, the sooner the enemy will be subdued.

·        Joshua 1:8 this book of the law must depart out thy…mouth…thy mouth…for thou shall meditate upon it day and night….the word meditate there is hagah which means to murmur it in pleasure or anger, to muse, to pray it…it means you need to roar the word of God you know about your condition day and night. Every day night, you stand and said to your condition it is written…then you shall make thy way prosperous and thou shall have good success.

Conclusion

·        Every challenge has it purpose; Every challenge is common; every challenge has an expiry date; there is a way out of any challenge; the day you roar, that same day, evil harassment against your destiny is terminated. It is time to stop keeping quiet for the enemy and roar back at him.

        Prayer Points
1.      Father, please make me stronger than every challenge, every giant, every opposition, every troubles in Jesus.

2.      Father, let every Goliath before me fall down, let every Jericho fall down flat, let ever red sea part before me and let every Jordan dry up

3.      Father, let your glory be revealed in my life today. Let your beauty be seen in me. Let your honor destroy shame in my life

4.      Father, let the blessing of Abraham on me manifest in my work, finance, family, marriage, career, academics and destroy every curses in my life now in Jesus name

5.      Father, I declare that goodness and mercy shall follow me. Demon of Bad luck and disappointments following me, go back in Jesus name

6.      Father, I am a child of God, within the next 90 days let me experience victory over every battle I am facing today.

7.      That stubborn wicked power that Satan has put in charge of my case, fall now in Jesus name. I receive solution

8.      O lord, you are the way maker, make a way for me. Open my eyes to see the way out of this trouble. Give me strategy for wining. Send help now in Jesus name.

MORE THAN CONQUEROR - Part 1

Romans 8: 28- 38

Champions are made from challenges. David was a just a small underage farm boy until he killed Goliath and in 1 Samuel 18: 7 he was celebrated…Saul killed his thousands and David his thousands’. Very soon, after all this, you will be celebrated

There is no one that has great glory without a great story. No star without a scar. People don’t get to the top by sudden flight, they climb. ‘For this light affliction, which is but for a moment worketh in us a far weight of glory…’ 2 Corinthian 4: 17- 18 whatever it is you are confronting is leading you to glorious end.

Job ended with double portion Job 42: 12; Hannah ended with 5 children after years of tormentous barrenness.

Challenges are a proof of your value. Satan never wastes his time and resources over people of no or little value. If your glory is not weighty, your trouble is not necessary.

Challenges are a trust from God on you. Remember, Satan cannot touch you without seeking permission from God.  Job 1: 6- 12; 2: 1-6. God knows you can handle any test that comes to you 1 Corinthian 10: 13

Why challenges?

·        To test our faith…Satan wants to destabilize it

·        To proof our love for God…Satan wants destroy it

·        To test the depth of our knowledge of God…Satan want to derail it

·        To test our understanding of purpose… Satan wants to derail it

·        To test your confidence...Satan wants to destroy it

3 things challenges do for us

·        Preserve us from danger

·        Prepare us for the next assignment

·        Promote us to the next level

Whatever is going against you now is actually working together for your good. As long as you in God’s will, life nor Satan can destroy you. Vs 28

God has not called us to a life of suffering; you chosen… chosen means to be handpicked, specially selected… to show forth is praises…you were justified to be glorified. Vs 29-30. You were saved to live a life of glory on earth and in heaven

God is not fighting you…the one who died and forgave you cannot be against you…he cannot condemn…you are not suffering for your sins…he spared not his son from dying for you, he cannot deny you of anything in life…

Satan is after those 5 things in your life;

·        your love for God

·        your faith in God

·        your knowledge of God

·        your confidence

·        your purpose

that was why he asked…and he is still asking…Jesus said to Peter…Satan has asked to sift you…Luke 22: 31…Brother, Satan has asked to sift you…sister, Satan has asked to sift you…young man,…Satan has asked to sift you…he has sent tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword…but hear this loud and clear…he cannot kill you. Job 2: 6. He is after the glory that will soon be revealed in you after this…but you must stand and declare to our every demon in hell…nothing can…I say nothing…

·        nothing can separate me from the love of God

·        nothing can make me doubt my God

·        nothing can make me lose my confidence

·        nothing can make me give up my purpose

·        nothing can make doubt what I know about God

Nay, in all these things…nakedness, famine, distress, sickness…I …am…more…than…conqueror…through him…that is God…that loves us.

How can I conquer?

1 Corinthians 10: 13 says There is always a way out of every challenge. There is always a strategy out of every tragedy. No challenge is unique; it is common. What you are confronting today, someone has conquered before. Your test today is someone testimony. So, you are not the first and won’t be the last. This challenge is also not the first and it won’t be the last.

The way out…comes from God…when it is time for the trouble to expire…God will show you a way out.

3 ways to violently stop Satan’s harassment in your life

·        Faith

·        Blood

·        Mouth

My focus today is on the power in your mouth. There is victory in your mouth Romans 10: 8; there is power of life and death in your tongue Proverbs 18: 21. You either empower or disable Satan over your condition depending on the use of your mouth.

Hebrew 12: 29 our God is a consuming a fire….Matthew 15: 13 every plant ….shall be uprooted…Luke 3: 10…shall be cast into fire. If God has not planted it, then it is done by the enemy Matthew 13: 28

·        My father, whatever you have not planted in my life, uproot now in Jesus name

·        Holy spirit, Everything the enemy has planted in my life, must be consumed by fire now

·        You foul spirit oppressing my life, come out now in Jesus name

KEYS TO MULTIPLE BLESSINGS

Ephesians 1: 3
If we are saved, we are already anointed to prosper. ‘Praise be to God and father of our lord Jesus, who has blessed us in heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing in Christ’.  Say it loud and clear, I am already blessed.’
Abraham is a reference point of the blessed and a blessing. According to Genesis 12: 2-3, ‘I will bless you and you will be a blessing’, God promised that he will anoint, empower and enable Abraham to prosper so much that through him, the nations of the earth will be blessed. He became an example of faith to us who will believe according to Romans 4: 12 where it was called the steps of faith that guarantees divine blessing.
Abraham is an example of all round blessing, multiples ‘for Abraham was old (long life and good health)…and the lord had blessed Abraham in all things Genesis 24: 1 and in Vs. 35, the servant testified of the blessedness of Abraham.
All these promises came to past because God was faithful to Abraham and Abraham also was faithful to God. We also have access to the same blessedness according to Galatians 3: 9 ‘so then they which are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham’. Note the word, we are blessed with…the blessing is divine empowerment to prosper. It is the blessing that attracts blessings to one’s life. For the blessing of the lord, it maketh rich and add no sorrow. That means the same power that was available to prosper Abraham is also available for us too.
The difference is the level of our faithfulness. The question is how Abraham was able to convert the blessing to blessings.

Let’s call it the 7 steps to multiples blessings

     1. Pursue God not prosperity (money, success, wealth etc.) Matthew 6: 33; Psalm 34: 10; 2 Chron. 26: 5. When you get God you get gold. God is the owner of silver and gold.

2 2. Develop and live a life of Faith. Romans 4: 18- 21 faith is hoping even in hopeless situations; is not staggering even in a staggering situation. It means to be persuaded that God who promise, he will perform. Believing God is different from believing in God. You must not merely believe in the existence of God, believe in his omnipotence and willingness to bless help you this year. Hold him at his word, that in 2015, you will experience multiple blessings and you will in Jesus name

3 3. Have a strong desire to be blessed Mark 11: 22- 24 Jesus said ‘whatsoever you desire…’. Desire is the starting point for any meaningful change in life. What you don’t desire you cannot acquire. Desire is the fire of success. If you want to see multiple blessing, you must have strong desire for God and his blessing.

4 4. Live a life obedience Isaiah 1:19 says ‘if you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land’. Obedience is the key to divine blessings. Abraham was a man of total obedience. God will not bless anyone unless he has tested his obedience. Mary the mother of Jesus preached the greatest sermon I have ever heard in one sentence to anyone who wants to experience divine blessings and miracles, ‘whatsoever he tells you do’. He said to Namaan, dip yourself in Jordan 7 times and he did, he was healed; he said to the blind man, so wash in the pool of siloam, he did and he received his sight; he said to the lepers, go show yourself to the high priest, they did, they were healed; he said to the widow of zarephath, go and do my own first, she did and she never lacked; he said to the children of Israel, go round Jericho 7 times and shout, they did, the wall came down etc. the instruction you obey will determine the manifestation of God you receive. If he asked for your tithe, give it and you will see the windows of heaven opened; he asked you to preach the gospel in every street, do it, and you will signs and wonders following you; if asked for your sacrificial giving of your income, give it and you will see your wealth increase; if he asked you to honor your parents, do it, and you have long life; if he asked you to honor him with your substances, money, time, body, do it and your barn will increase. The fact is for every blessing you enjoy there is an instruction to obey. The sad thing is people want to enjoy the blessing but they don’t want to obey the instruction. That is not possible. Deuteronomy 28: 1 began the blessing by saying ‘if you diligently hear the word and obey the commandment…’ then the blessing follows. The command of God you obey puts you in command of life.

5 5. A life of prayer, worship and devotion. Mark 11: 22’ whatsoever you desire, when you pray believe and you shall have them’. Before anyone can see answers in life, 3 things must be well combined; your desire, prayer and faith. Abraham was a man of worship and prayer. You cannot pray and not see God is action. This is the year to give yourself to much public and private prayers. You prayer altar this year must always carry fire if you want to enjoy multiple blessings.

6 6. Live a lifestyle of giving: You are blessed to be a blessing. Luke 6: 38 give and it shall be given to you. Proverbs 11: 24- 26 the more you give the more you have. In the kingdom, giving comes before receiving Philippians 4: 15. Prov. 28: 27 he that giveth to the poor shall not lack. Ephesians 4: 28 you are not working for living but for giving.

7 7.  Be Diligent in business and work:  Proverb 22: 29; Romans 12: 11 ‘see thou a diligent man, he shall stand before kings and not mean (average) men’. Diligence puts you in command of blessings. Diligence is the discipline of hard work. No matter how much fasting or tongues you speak, a lazy man can and will never be blessed. A little rest, a little sleep, so shall poverty come upon you like a labor on woman. Laziness breeds poverty; Psalms 1: 3 ‘whatsoever he doeth, he prospers. Diligence brings prosperity. Get a work; do your work diligently this year. Be the best at work; let it be evident to your employer that you are valuable to them. The word says, whatsoever ye do, do as unto the lord. He said workers must serve their employers not with eye service but as unto the lord who sees all things rewards good labor. It is God that promotes; the same God is the judge. Very soon, you will be rewarded. If you want to enjoy multiple blessings this year, then your attitude to work must change. You must be a hard worker. If your present work is not challenging you enough, get more work. Be involved in productive activity. In the labor of the just there is profit. This is the year God will escalate your profit and grant you uncommon and supernatural promotion. Let him that steal, steal no more; don’t beg; don’t borrow; work with your hands and so you can also share with the poor. Paul commanded that those who does not work should not eat. Be diligent in your studies; excellence does not come by wishful thinking or soulful praying; those who get the best results burn midnight candles; when others are sleeping, they are working.
